InfoWeapons Corporation Accredited as IPv6 Ready Logo Test & Conformance Center
InfoWeapons facility in the Philippines is one of only six sites in the world accredited to conduct conformance and interoperability testing under the IPv6 Ready & Enabled Logo program.

CEBU, PHILIPPINES, April 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The IPv6 Forum and The IPv6 Ready Logo Committee have officially appointed InfoWeapons Corporation based in the Philippines as an IPv6 Ready Logo Test & Conformance Centre in the Philippines after compliance to the quality requirements criteria to obtain such an accreditation and affiliation to the IPv6 Forum IPv6 Ready Logo Program.

"Infoweapons brings strategic value to this program and to the Philippines with rare skills in DNSSEC, DHCPv6 and Dual-stack firewall technologies enabling high-quality deployment of IPv6-based new Internet infrastructure," says Latif Ladid, IPv6 Forum President.

"InfoWeapons is proud to join the select group of organizations who are doing 'IPv6 Ready' testing. We feel that this testing is essential for the success of the transition to IPv6. For the first time, devices anywhere in the world must be able to interoperate directly with each other, as opposed to via intermediary systems (as with analog phones)," says Lawrence E. Hughes, Chairman and CTO InfoWeapons. "IPv6 Ready tests put products and applications under a network 'microscope' and result in a very high confidence of full conformance with the IETF standards, and interoperation with other IPv6 products. We do not feel that our own products are complete until we have passed the Phase 2 (Gold level) tests."

"We hope that our new test center will help IT vendors in the Philippines (or anywhere in Asia that does not yet have its own test center) to complete development and obtain certification of their IPv6 products. We hope to be able to add new test suites for use by all of the centres, starting with DNSSEC," Mr. Hughes adds.

"We welcome new members of the IPv6 Ready logo team. The task at hand is very big and being able to provide IPv6-enabled products to the market is of critical importance. Achieving this goal is truly a global effort," says Yanick Pouffary, NAv6TF Technology Director, IPv6 Forum Fellow and IPv6 Forum (Ready & Enabled) Logo Programs Chairperson.

"IPv6 Ready Logo Team can be geographically distributed and can be operated autonomously, but must be tightly coupled for professional co-operation. We are pleased and honored to welcome the new member, who is truly professional to contribute to the whole Internet community on the globe, and are looking forward to yield great achievements with the new Center," says Hiroshi Esaki, Chairman of the IPv6 Logo Committee, Executive Director of IPv6 Promotion Council Japan and Board member of WIDE Project.

InfoWeapons joins the current five test centers based in Japan, USA, China, Taiwan and France.
