CHICAGO, IL, January 5, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel C. Zifkin, President & CEO of Zephyr Media Group, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in media management.

With 28 years in the entertainment industry, Daniel C. Zifkin is a respected authority on media technology, operations, and sales and marketing. In 1991, he parlayed his extensive experience into the establishment of Zephyr Media Group, an advertising agency that specializes in direct response television advertising and related marketing campaigns. He is in charge of all operations, and is responsible for overseeing, media buying, client relations, technology, sales, marketing and accounting, managing business development, performing forecasts, and consulting with clients.

In addition to his work for Zephyr Media Group, Mr. Zifkin oversees 321 Productions, a TV syndication and production company that is involved in the production of various TV series for satellite and cable networks. The company has sold movie packages for syndication for DEJ Productions, a division of Blockbuster Entertainment, and produces and syndicates programs both domestically and internationally. Mr. Zifkin also owns and operates Specialty Premium Group, a premium and incentive business that sells promotional products to companies and other entities across the United States.

Having built a solid reputation in the business, Mr. Zifkin is often sought as a guest speaker for trade organizations. He has extensive experience in cable, local, national and syndicated television, as well as print media, having published articles in several industry magazines. Credited for being one of the original Showtime employees, he was instrumental in establishing and implementing marketing and selling strategies to new cable systems and MSO operators in the U.S. Mr. Zifkin also lent his talents to Parade magazine and held key executive positions at Blair Television, Universal Pictures and Western International Syndication. He attributes the success that he enjoyed in sundry aspects of his industry to his can-do mentality, problem-solving capabilities, and commitment to keeping his knowledge current.

Mr. Zifkin earned his Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves on the Advisory Board for ERA Retailer - Direct to Consumer Magazine. This magazine represents the Trade Organization for the Direct Response Industry. He is affiliated with The Economic Club of Chicago and the National Association of Television Program Executives. He serves as the President of a Not for Profit Foundation that supports a number of charities.
